Where do I acquire a. slip file so that I don t need internet access to register the product.
I frequently install the IDE on VM s and such and don t want to hassle with internet connectivity.

This option is not available since it conflicts with CG s software
activation policy. In current policy all activations should be granted by a
CG server.

I do this a at work, since our lab systems are not connected to the
internet. When you go to that website, it will ask you for your serial
number and another number, I forget what it s called. The second number is
not obvious. I found it by googling, its in one of the installation logs I
think, I m not at work so I can t tell you which one. But google for it and
you ll find it. Then it s a simple process.
Nick, this process would be simpler, if on that website you could include
instructions on where to find the second number.

Hi Dan,
I just went through that with Delphi 7, and the registration key was located
in the About box.
Cheers,

I am not seeing this in my install of RAD Studio 2007. Where else can it be found.
I think I found it. It was on the back of the DVD case. The website reg.codegear.com gave
me reg862.txt file. Is that a. slip file..

Scracth that. This is what it said when I tried to import the reg file:
Activation information does not apply to current user/host machine or is no longer
valid for this product.
Please register again. 7015.
What should I do.

Hi
After the creation of my database and the inserting of data in this
database, the xml indexes are fragmented 99.
My application publishes data and creates some database to store them. It
contains a table with a xml field:
CREATE TABLE CONTENT
CONTENT_ID NUMERIC 20 IDENTITY,
CONTENT_KEY varchar 100 NOT NULL,
CONTENT_INFO XML,
CONTENT_COLLECTIONKEY varchar 100,
CONTENT_DATATXT NVARCHAR MAX,
CONTENT_DATABIN VARBINARY MAX,
CONTENT_REVNBR varchar 100,
CONTENT_MODIRC varchar 100,
CONTENT_ORDER varchar 100,
PRIMARY KEY CONTENT_ID
;
CREATE FULLTEXT CATALOG ftcontent AS DEFAULT;
CREATE FULLTEXT INDEX ON CONTENT CONTENT_DATATXT KEY INDEX IDX_CONTENT
ON ftcontent;
CREATE PRIMARY XML INDEX PXML_CONTENT_CONTENTINFO
ON CONTENT CONTENT_INFO
-- Create secondary indexes PATH, VALUE, PROPERTY
CREATE XML INDEX PXML_CONTENT_CONTENTINFO_PATH ON CONTENT CONTENT_INFO
USING XML INDEX PXML_CONTENT_CONTENTINFO
FOR PATH
The inserting is done record by record.
After the data inserting,the xml fragmentation with ratio 99.
It seems too that the inserting in a database has an impact on the xml
indexes fragmentation ratio of anothers databases.
